Company and Industry Research
Within this folder are Research Guides for company and
industry research, for both current and historical research.
Also included is an Apreso classroom session
(presented for a BA 361 class) that introduces the research
strategies and demonstrates the library subscription databases.
Databases for Business
This folder contains the Research Guide that lists and
describes the major library subscription databases that
support business research at Temple University.
It also includes a Power Point presentation on business
databases presented in the Fox School PhD Seminar Series.
Evaluating Scholarly Credentials
This folder includes a template for the presentation of a
scholarly analysis of a journal, the Research Guide that
explains how to produce the evaluation, and a Power Point
presentation of the research techniques
(presented in the Computer Services Seminar Series).
Mediamark Reporter
This folder includes a Power Point presentation that explains
how to use the CD-ROM version of the Mediamark Reporter.
The database is accessible ONLY on the computers in the
Reference Area in Paley Library.
Also included is an explanation from the publisher of the meaning
of the information in the columns of data in Mediamark.
Please note: the "Percent Across" and "Percent Down"
columns on the explanation sheet [designed for the Internet
version of the database] are in reverse order on the
CD-ROM version.

This folder contains Library Research Guides for basic
market research and for conutry market research.

It is a copy of the entire alphabetical list of databases,
with the links embedded and live. [Updated 5/19/05]

forward-and-back buttons to work after a database is opened.

The Free Library of Philadelphia has a large package of
full-text, remotely-accessible databases.
Anyone who lives, works, pays taxes, or goes to school
in Philadelphia is eligible for a library card. Apply online.
