Nice information but not kept updated. Condensed China: Chinese History for Beginners http://asterius.com/china/
Condensed China is an introduction to Chinese history.
It exists to inform, enlighten, and attract netizens interested
in China. It is not a complete history of China; I deliberately
skipped over and left out a lot of information. This is more
like ''Chinese History: the Cliff Notes version" or "Chinese
History's Greatest Hits" than a full-fledged history. If I left
out something you feel is important, please email me and
I will put it in the next time I revise the text.

It is generally easiest to navigate this site from Contents
or the Timeline, but there may be times when it is useful
to consult a list of the main pages, which is given here.
This list does not include the hundreds of pages that give
source citations, nor the pages that extend the text by
giving answers, thoughts, further comments, or enlarged
details. It also does not list the separate pages of the
Teachers' Guide or the Timeline and Maps.
