Introduction

This report presents preliminary findings from the research and analysis
of the Mid-City neighborhood conducted by the faculty and students of the
Urban Planning + Design program at the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
This research was conducted from January through May 2006 with the
assistance of the Urban Conservancy, Wendy Laker, Bart Everson and Amy
Lafont of the Mid-City Neighborhood Organization and Billy Fields of
Rails-to-Trails Conservancy.
