A Historical Overview: Journalism and Modernism
(Lifelong RN: 10/04/2005)

What is this thing called journalism? How did it erupt as a form, and
what propelled the culture of journalism to be distinct from
literature?

In this first program, we trace the ideas that formed the beginnings
of journalism as we know it today; some say it was born from the
Enlightenment, others say journalism itself was the cradle which
rocked the Enlightenment.
