A few shots since last Thursday have yielded some diverse action between New Hampshire and a quick jaunt to Quebec City for the weekend.  On Thursday afternoon, having to head south to pick up kiddos, I made a short trip out of the way to shoot the NECR 600 rolling over the Sugar River Trestle for a cover shot for the NECR Trackside Guide 2012 book that is in process (now that the VRS Trackside Guide is shipping <FINALLY!>).  The 600 had the NECR GP38 3851 leading the RailAmerica-painted TP&W GP40-2W 405...with decent lighting and orientation, the shot presented itself perfectly for the cover!

Then leaving the trestle, it was off to capture the southbound Pan Am WJED (White River to East Deerfield symbol that terminates in Claremont Jct. and turns back...) on the NECR Palmer Sub departing Claremont South Switch.  Anyway, the WJED had the B&M GP40 337 and MEC GP40 345 in dress blue paint bracketing a healthy cut of empty hoppers (from Pan Am customer on the Conn River) and the empty steel flats from Structural-Bridge in Claremont.  A short chase south yielded the following:

Charlestown, NH along Route 12:

North Walpole, NH:

and at Walpole, NH:

And a single image that I’ve pulled off the camera so far from the Quebec City weekend...  VIA Rail 620 at Ste-Foy, Quebec with F40PH 6451:
