List style datatypes in Neo4j

I see theirs an implementation in Neo4j.rb for storing ordered lists
of nodes (has_list).We have users which are related to each other but
users also generate lists of transactions which could number in the
high 1000s. Should I try storing all this data in Neo4j or use a
combination of Neo4j and a traditional database like MySQL?

Mmh,
I think an ordered collection of events is a good structure for graphs. If it gets too long, you can always add some indexing to it, much like in http://docs.neo4j.org/chunked/snapshot/cypher-cookbook-path-tree.html . Could that be interesting?
