Hi -
I need to have some metal parts (not sheet metal) fabricated and I'm looking for a local machine shop to work with. For the short term this will be fairly low volume work (dozens to low hundreds of pieces). I'd appreciate any recommendations.
Thanks, Rick

For the purposes of price comparison and material selection, checkout http://www.emachineshop.com/ . You use their 3D tool to design the piece then select the tooling machine, material, and quantity. It gives you an instant price quote.

Not sure exactly what ya need, but my dad's the foreman at Cleveland Special Tool, which does low-volume parts orders. If you have a description of what you need I can forward it to him.

emachineshop.com is the best option I know of. If you don't want to go through an online site I can recommend some shops in the Mentor area that my company does business with.
