I checked the lead time to order a MakerBot for the first event and it appears all of the kits are sold out on the MakerBot store. The website does not list when the next batch will be available for sale. So I think this lead time puts our timing in question for the event in Feb.
Rick do you have any suggestions on how we could buy a kit or another method?
To the rest of the team, any suggestions to try something else for the first event?
I am attempting to get sponsorship for the physical frame and to have it made out of aluminum. If I can not get it donated I may be able to have 4 produced and would donate one to the group, keep one for myself and have the other two for sale. Pricing for would be the deiciding factor. I will know more tomorrow. As far as the other components are concerned I have no ideas.

@Rick - I am looking forward to discussing your previous experience with producing the frames.
@everyone - My meeting about getting the frame laser cut out of aluminum has been postponed until tomorrow. If any one has any links/videos that you feel would help explain the concept around the makerbot and/or Protostudio please forward them to me and I will try to incorporate them into my presentation.
