I just got off the phone with a customer service rep from Time Warner Cable
in Lincoln who told me they are going to announce that the game will now be
shown on Time Warner digital cable channel 232, Metro Sports.

I always thought the games were always available on Fox Sports in the state.
I'm thankful I have espn3.com - makes watching from out of state so much easier.

I don't think there's ANY television planned for Saturday's 1 p.m. game
against Texas A&M at the Devaney Center. Not scheduled to be on the weekend
package. A&M was rated around #10 before losing to Texas this week.
I agree with your earlier post, Jon. I just want to see us beat Texas Tech
tomorrow night. We will probably be favored in a conference road game.
Been awhile since that's happened. Win and be 3-2 going into the A&M game.
Win and I'll be asking you what you think of Doc's team. Lose and I'll
probably disappear from posting about Husker hoops on 'TheList' for another
two or three years.

Stupid question - but isn't Nebraska basketball usually available in
Nebraska?

Don't be a hopeless follower, I have hope and have followed Nebraska hoops
since Cipriano...through Slow-Mo Iba...and Danny Nee. I tolerated Collier
and really like the "Doc" but am concerned that his "all defense" and spotty
offense may give him a short rope in the near future. I think he is a class
act and if he has a solid conference year and a decent post-season run the
University would pay his house payment for a few more years. I will be
watching on ESPN 3 and I really hope for a win deep in the heart of Texas.

The game is at 6:30 PM, not 1:00.
I was attempting to refer to NEXT Saturday's game against A&M being at 1
p.m., but I should've been more clear. You're correct, tonight's game
against Tech is at 6:30 p.m. and it's huge. (DN)
Defense is where our bread is buttered and we're good at it. The
double-down low post defense we played in the first half at Allen Field
House against Kansas was textbook execution. You can't play it any better
and they held KU to 25 points in the first half. These young guys have
bought into Doc's defensive philosophy (last year they were way too young
and new to the game to grasp it). But, you're correct, Steve, at some point
you have to score some points.
The Huskers WILL get out and fast break if the opportunity is there. They
look for it. Point guard Lance Jeter has been an exceptional leader thus
far this year. And, most importantly, his teammates are following him.
It's his team, he knows it, and he accepts the leadership role. Jeter is
6-foot-3 and a legitimate 230 pounds. He's a physical, athletic kid and
he's learned how to use it. When a break opportunity presents itself, he
takes the ball and is determined to get all the way to the rim with players
following him on the wing for a pass or a follow-up rebound. Lance is a
tough kid who doesn't shy away from contact or the physical part of the
game. And he's equipped for it. He's a load. When Lance Jeter goes
blowin' down the court with the ball there just aren't a lot of eager
volunteers to step in and take a charge from 6-3, 230. Tough, hard nosed
player. Doc's kinda' guy. Can't say enough about the way he's shown up
thus far this year. It's his Senior year, his last, and he's leaving it all
on the hardwood. Not a great free throw shooter, but hopefully good enough.
It's been impressive watching him evolve from last year (first year starter
out of junior college) to this year. Vastly improved and more comfortable
with his role.
