I appreciate the prior responses that I received from the group about choosing a service. It turns out my client has a very slight history using Constant Contact (used it once), and it took a long time to investigate and verify what if any service they had used.

They plan to start a subscription to Constant Contact, but have not yet done so. I have an InDesign layout of what they want and my job is to turn it into XHTML and get it into a message. I started a Constant Contact trial and after exploring the templates and trying to modify one that seemed close, I found it to be an impossible interface. The "advanced editor" feature also looks like a nasty learning curve.

I just started an IContact trial (I had briefly tried it in the past). It has a feature of simply "paste" HTML from DW, etc. Unless I'm missing something this seems much easier.

We don't need any bells and whistle, just want to send something out ASAP. I'll do an iContact test today.

Is this possibly a subject that someone could do a presentation about, and that would be of interest to others?

Thanks.

Constant contact does have a "paste html" feature like you are speaking about.  I haven't used it yet - but I did get an email from them last week saying that they now had it.  I always found it annoying that they wouldn't do that too.

Anyway try digging around a little now and see if you can find it.  I will later on today.  But if anyone knows where it's at…..

Chris,
Yes, I whined too quickly! I got a call from Constant Contact to say
hello and ask if I needed anything. David walked me through how to paste
my own html. The "html" choice (rather than "xhtml") seems to be a
little easier to understand. So, now I am proceeding to create my html
in DW and then will paste into Constant Contact.

I shouldn't be so quick to broadcast my ignorance.
Thanks.
