HI there, you can get in touch with me at j...@aswebcreations.com. However all I can say for now is that: when testing within the Flash software, sounds objects have a weird behavior. To be sure of a given sound behavior you need to run your movie (swf) from outside the Flash software. If the problem is not resolved feel free to contact me directly. Make also sure to describe the problem when testing outside the Flash software.
Jean

Subject: New England Adobe User Group: hounded by sound in AS 3

This is an enquiry e-mail via http://www.neaug.org/ from:
Barry <bi...@sover.net>

hi- Would anyone be willing to take a stab at my intractable sound problem
in Flash CS4?

In brief: I've got an MP3 embeded in an mc(its in an mc inside another mc-
needs to be for timing issues), I send the main mc to the stage dynamically,
when the function calls removechild, the imagery ends but the sound
continues.

I've tried and tried: soundchannel, soundmixer, soundtransform et al.  do I
have a scope issue?...grrrrrr

thanks.

Barry
