The next and final MBTA Board of Directors meeting will be held
this Thursday October 8, 2009. The next relevant board meeting will
be one of the Massachusetts Department of Transportation.
Notice of this Thursday's board meeting and the agenda have been
posted on the MBTA web site.

3. Authorization for the execution of MBTA Contract No.
Z92PS23, Independent Cost Estimating and Scheduling Services, Contract
2, Group A, with ARCADIS, for an estimated sum not to exceed
$1,000,000.

4. Authorization for the execution of MBTA Contract No.
Z92PS24, Independent Cost Estimating and Scheduling Services, Contract
2, Group B, with Keville Enterprises, Inc., for an estimated sum not
to exceed $1,000,000.

5. Authorization for the execution of MBTA Contract No.
X48PS01, Route 28X Enhancements, with PB Americas, Inc., for an
estimated sum not to exceed $8,308,409.

6. Authorization for the execution of Amendment No. 22 to MBTA
Contract No. R07PS02, Arborway Garage Complex, for additional Design
Engineering Services, with Dewberry Goodkind, Inc., for an estimated
sum not to exceed $1,108,330.

7. Authorization for the execution of Amendment No. 5 to MBTA
Contract No. A29PS02, Science Park Station Accessibility Improvements,
for additional Design Engineering Services for Construction Phase
Services, with AECOM USA, Inc., for an estimated sum not to exceed
$348,028.

8. Authorization for the execution of Amendment No. 22 to MBTA
Contract No. S05PS14, Light Rail Accessibility Program, Arlington
Station, for additional Design Engineering Services, with Leers
Weinzapfel Associates Architects, Inc., for an estimated sum not to
exceed $99,530.59.

9. Authorization for the execution of Amendment No. 1 to MBTA
Contract No. B92PS09, Design Engineering Services for Repair/
Rehabilitation of Systemwide Bridges, Contract 1, Group C, with The
Louis Berger Group, Inc., for additional Design Engineering Services,
for an estimated sum not to exceed $801,850.

10. Authorization for the execution of Construction Quantity
Variance Report No. 803 to MBTA Contract No. H74CN04, Fairmount
Corridor Improvements Project, Columbia Road, Quincy Street and
Massachusetts Avenue Bridges Replacement Project, Boston,
Massachusetts, with J.F. White Contracting Company, for time and
material cost of $1,187,331.66.

11. Authorization for the execution of Change Order No. 52 to
MBTA Contract No. A21CN02, Light Rail Accessibility Program, Kenmore
Station, Green Line, Boston, Massachusetts, with Barletta Heavy
Division, for a lump sum of $234,766.

12. Authorization for the execution of Change Order No. 53 to
MBTA Contract No. A21CN02, Light Rail Accessibility Program, Kenmore
Station, Green Line, Boston, Massachusetts, with Barletta Heavy
Division, for a lump sum of $759,550.

13. Authorization for the execution of Construction Quantity
Variance Report No. 802 to MBTA Contract No. S10CN04, Blue Line
Modernization Project, Maverick Square Station and Blue Line Vents,
East Boston, Massachusetts, with J.F. White Contracting Company, for a
sum of $3,696,881.46.

14. Authorization to exercise options with Doughboy Police
Supply, Inc., of Dorchester, Massachusetts, to furnish transportation
uniforms over a two-year period, at a total cost not to exceed
$3,375,459.

15. Authorization for the execution of a three (3) year contract
for the maintenance of the Authority’s fixed two-way radio system
equipment, with Comtronics of Quincy, Massachusetts, for a sum not to
exceed $2,128,656.

16. Authorization for the execution of a contract to purchase
twelve (12) motorized electric rescue vehicles and twelve (12)
trailers with specialized chair restraints with MDI of Farmington
Hills, Michigan, for a cost not to exceed $826,992.

17. Authorization for the execution of a contract to purchase
367 evacuation chairs with Stryker of Kalamazoo, Michigan, for a cost
not to exceed $816,989.68.

18. Authorization for the execution of Amendment No. 32 to MBTA
Contract No. X02PS68, Design Engineering Services, New Bedford/Fall
River Commuter Rail Extension Project, (also know as South Coast
Rail), with Vanasse Hangen Brustlin, Inc., for a sum not to exceed
$8,984,265.

19. Authorization to execute a Trackage Rights Agreement
governing the right of way from Framingham to Worcester and taking
effect upon the acquisition by the MBTA of such property from CSXT;
execute the First Amendment to Definitive Agreement; execute a deed
accepting the various railroad properties from MassDOT; provide CSXT
with an environmental release in connection with the closing
contemplated by the Definitive Agreement; and to execute all other
documents and undertake all other actions necessary or desirable for
the implementation of the Definitive Agreement.

20. Authorization to submit a request to the MBTA Advisory Board
for approval to transfer funds among operating budget line items
within the total approved fiscal year 2009 Budget of $1.513 billion.

21. Authorization to file and execute the MBTA’s fiscal year
2010 Federal Grant Program with the Federal Transit Administration.

OTHER BUSINESS:

Authorization for the Recording Secretary to Certify the preceding
Votes immediately following the Meeting.
