1. Approval of the Minutes of the Meeting of November 1, 2007
and January 10, 2008.


2. General Manager's Report.


3. Authorization for the execution of Amendment No. 28 to MBTA
Contract No. S00PS11, Operations Facilities South Side Commuter Rail,
Track/Signal (D010A), for additional design engineering services, with
HNTB Corporation, for an estimated sum not to exceed $68,608.


4. Authorization for the execution of Amendment No. 19 to MBTA
Contract No. S00PS17, Coordination, Planning and Conceptual Design
Services, Impacts of MHD I90/I93, MBTA Facilities and Services, Phase
V, for additional design engineering services, with Shaw/Stone &
Webster Massachusetts, Inc., $45,678.


5. Authorization for the execution of Contracts with One
Source, of Somerville, Massachusetts, to clean Red Line (North), Green
Line, and Orange Line (South) Stations, at a total cost not to exceed
$9,880,936.00; J&K Cleaning, Inc., of Roslindale, Massachusetts, to
clean Red Line (South) Stations, at a total cost not to exceed
$5,180,771.00; Empire Cleaning, Inc., of Wakefield, Massachusetts, to
clean Orange Line (North) Stations, at a total cost not to exceed
$3,190,824.00; S.J. Services, Inc., of Danvers, Massachusetts, to
clean Blue Line Stations, at a total cost not to exceed $3,076,528.00,
all for a two-year period, with an option for an additional year.


6. Authorization to enter into an agreement to purchase spare
parts from Bombardier Transportation (Holdings) USA, Incorporated, of
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to be used for maintenance of the
Authority's light and heavy rail vehicles, over an estimated three-
year period, at a total delivered cost not to exceed $6,500,000.


7. Authorization for the execution of a Contract with ARINC,
Inc., of Annapolis, Maryland for the procurement of Station Public
Address Control Equipment, for a sum not to exceed $3,520,096.


8. Authorization to enter into an agreement to purchase spare
parts from Skoda Electric, of Plzen, Czech Republic, to be used for
maintaining the Authority's Neoplan Dual Mode and Electric Trolley
buses, at a total delivered cost not to exceed $694,233.50.


9. Authorization for the execution of a Contract with Rotem
USA Corporation, Inc., of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, for the purchase
and delivery of seventy-five (75) Bi-Level Commuter Rail Coaches with
Spares and Options, at a total not to exceed delivered cost of
$190,244,152.


10. Authorization for the execution of MBTA Contract No.
V61PS03, with PB Americas, for engineering services in support of the
procurement of new bi-level coaches, for a total cost not to exceed
$10,425,569.


11. Authorization for the execution of MBTA Contract No. V40PS01
- Phase I, Engineering Services in Support of the Vehicle Evaluation
and Specification Development of the Type 7 Green Line and No. 2 Red
Line Vehicles, with Booz, Allen and Hamilton, for an estimated amount
not to exceed $1,996,360.


12. Authorization for the extension of an contract with RBS
LYNK, for credit/debit card processing services on a month-to-month
basis, for a period not greater than one year from the date of
expiration of the current agreement, for an estimated cost not to
exceed $2,600,000.


13. Authorization 1) to purchase a one year Property Insurance
policy, including Boiler & Machinery Insurance and Terrorism
Insurance, covering real and personal property including rolling
stock, having a total combined replacement value of $6.0 Billion,
subject to a blanket policy limit of $500,000,000, commencing on March
1, 2008, through Marsh USA, Inc. (insurance broker) and FM Global
(insurance carrier), subject to an annual cost (inclusive of broker
fees and membership credits) of $1,597,478; and 2) to continue the
Authority's commitment to achieve and maintain Highly Protected Risk
(HPR) status, in our facilities and operations, which entitle the
Authority to significantly reduced insurance premium rates.


14. Approval of Statement of Facts concerning the Assessment of
Cities and Towns for FY2009 in accordance with Section 9 of Chapter
161A of the General Laws.


15. Certification to the MBTA Advisory Board on the voting
strengths for the 175 Cities and Towns in accordance with Section A of
Chapter 161A.


OTHER BUSINESS:


Authorization for the Recording Secretary to Certify the preceding
Votes immediately following the Meeting.

Considering how poorly the MBTA keeps their equipment, Rotem seems
like an ironically appropriate name. Instead of maintaining 'em,
they'll probably just rot 'em.
