Braintree, Mass. accepted part of Wood Road as a public way
in order to advance plans for a new ramp connecting that
road to Route 128 (aka I-93). I don't think that project
will ever be built. The only way to really improve traffic
flow through the area involves paving over part of the Blue
Hills reservation. I'd like to see Route 28 partially
underground to reconnect pieces of the reservation, and that
could be considered mitigation for a Route 128 frontage road,
but it sure isn't cost-effective on its own.

I would not mind seeing some of the road underground. If they did it
ala 93 then it might not cost so much. However, I am against it due
to the volume of accidents and congestion. I like it when they can
land the helicopter anywhere.

I think that it is about time that they start eminent domain to take
some of the marginal properties and expand the footprint of the park.
This is the best time to buy and the state should take advantage of
the lower prices. The deal in Randolph should be nullified and they
should start takings there.
