A Lament for the Loss of the "Chicago Olympics"
It is truly unfortunate that Chicago was not chosen to host the 2016 Olympics. Not only would this have been a great (and apparently the only) triumph in Obama's first year as president, it would have provided the opportunity to add some new Olympic events to reflect the unique character and culture of the famous Windy City.... more »

"Senate panel rejects gov't-run insurance option"
"Senate panel rejects gov't-run insurance option" Let me know if you see anything in this article that I haven't been predicting all year. We're getting the health care "re-form" that's been bought and paid for by the Insurance Industry. Email your elected officials and ask them how much money they've... more »

The New Lie: The Automobile Liability Insurance Lie

Krugman and the "Swiss Plan"
Krugman and the "Swiss Plan" [link] "Of course, those who insist that we must have a single-payer system — Medicare for all — won’t accept any plan that tries, instead, to cajole and coerce private health insurers into covering everyone. But while... more »
