New Hampshire merchants are thanking the Vermont legislature for
boosting their business- again.
The House has passed a modification of the sales tax to cover soda,
candy, bottled water amnddietary supplements.
The Meals Tax will rise to 9.5% (and some communities are allowed to add
another 1% for themselves). It will be extended to food sold in vending
machines.
The legislature is considering an addittional tax on sugared drinks.
