Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick (D) is moving to forgo fixing the
crumbling state infrastructure with $9 million (est) of precious federal
taxpayer stimulus funds, so that they money can be diverted to make
improvements to Bob Kraft's Gillette NFL stadium and his adjacent
Patriot Place shopping complex. Why bother fixing the horrid conditions
of Massachusetts' moon crater roads and collapsing overpasses, when the
repair funding can instead tossed at mega developments so others can
reap the benefits? And to top it off the review process has already
been bypassed.

And 9 million! dollars...just for a foot bridge.

Let the State Crumble while Feeding the NFL?
Together We Can!!

"The bridge was included on a slate of projects, prepared by the
administration, that was approved late last month by a regional planning
board that determines how to spend federal transportation money in the
Boston area. Most transportation projects reviewed for federal funding
are evaluated by two sets of professional planners before such votes,
but the bridge and some other stimulus projects on the recently approved
slate received no such review." --Boston Globe Nov 7 2009
