Excellent question, Vilco. I often wonder how non-native speakers
can possibly learn English.

I personally haven't used the word 'boned' since I was 14 years old.
But your keen eye for unusual Englishisms are refreshing and
justified.

"Boned", in this context, is an archaic regional word used briefly
in the Northeast and Midwest USA in the 70's through the 80's.

It had an interesting romance as being the predecessor of words such
as "fucked" and "screwed", but it never meant either of them.
It was and is only used by Crackers trying to be polite,

"boned" means you had an experience that somehow made you feel
cheated or slighted. It would never imply or be used in any sexual,
drug or anti-government connotations. It was a very neutral word by
today's standards.

But nowadays you can't say, "I just got boned By Weinerschnitzel,
and Ima Lov'in It (tm)". It just doesn't... work.

I appreciated hearing the word used in context afetr all these
years.
