I sent the following message to the PARC listserv,
but in case someone on the NE PARC list hasn't seen the request, I would like to know if anyone has any experience
with or knowledge of using flexible (articulated) fiberscopes for examining
small mammal
burrows and tunnels (< 2.5 cm) for amphibians and reptiles.
I have considered this to look for mole salamanders and, more recently,
over-wintering hognose snakes, but the cost of the equipment has stopped
me without some assurance that the technology may work.
Thanks to anyone who can provide me some guidance. -Bob Brooks
