Regretfully Cal Poly will not be able to host a tournament at our facilities this fall. Our one gym is currently being shared with all of the athletic departments, and our group has no persuasive power to tell other "More Important" organizations that we need the space. In theory, the new facilities will be open in January, and we may be able to throw a tournament around March or sometime around then. A November tournament though will not happen at the gym at Cal Poly because our club cannot reserve a space that is already filled by NCAA teams and other such organizations that take precedence over the Fencing Club.
My Apologies,
Well. Poop. Yes, I'll say it again. Poop. Poop, I say.
This would be a good opportunity for a club to say "Hey, we want to have a tournament the Saturday before Thanksgiving, and we want you all to come!"
Open to suggestions,
Thom
