Dear all,

A current version of the bylaws has been delivered.  I will have it checked against the minutes and mailed out to the club via this group.  I'm hoping I can do that, otherwise, I will send it to each club president as an attachment.

Additionally, after the last flurry of emails, I'm quite confused as to who--and where--is (or is not?) planning a tournament.  Can someone filter that and give us some tentative dates, please?  Thank you very much.

Cheers,

Thom

As far as I can tell,

Berkeley will have one on February 18th.
Davis sometime in April as usual.
I'm trying to find a date for Cal Poly possibly in May.

That seems correct TJ, I just reread the other e-mail thread and that is what I got out of it also.

Davis doesn't have a date yet, but we will do it in April as usual.  You all will be the first to know.

Justin, Thom,
The team from UNR would like to attend the Davis tournament, if you could forward any information necessary for participation that would be very helpful.

Thanks
Paul

Hello Paul,

There is nothing necessary for participation aside from showing up, paying the fee, and signing a waiver.  Of course pre-registration is appreciated, and once we have the date secured we'll post the event on askFRED and send out an e-mail to the league.

Hey Justin,
It is getting close to April and we will need to start filling out paperwork for our travel request. Do you have any prospective dates as of yet for the tournament so we can get started? Our club sports staff gets irked if we try to do anything too close to the actual event date.
Thanks,
Masaki

Masaki, and everyone else,

We still don't have a date confirmed.  It's incredibly frustrating on our end because our Sport Club office is actively trying to secure the date but ICA is simply not communicating with them about gym availability.  Aside from that, our Sport Club office is optimistic that the 14th and 15th are clear, it's just a matter of making sure that is the case and actually getting it booked.

Just for reference, how long before an event does everyone need to get their travel arrangements in?  At Davis, we have to get it in two weeks before the event.
