Subject: last minute but awesome: INTRO CLINICS! SUNDAY!

Hey everyone,
Sorry for the extremely late notice on this, but we have a cool opportunity
at the crit on Sunday: in several other conferences, people are leading
Intro clinics each week for the lowest category men and women. In these
clinics, new riders can learn skills and techniques to improve your speed,
safety, and overall enjoyment of bike racing. This Sunday, we are going to
have Intro clinics for the D men and C women, starting a half hour prior to
their races' start times, in the parking lot just north of the student
center (see this map, with legend on the left sidebar:
http://z.umn.edu/criterium). The clinics will be led by 2008 D2 national
collegiate road race champion Emma Bast, Jeffrey, and myself. Although it
is the conference championship, and sadly our final race weekend this year,
there will still be something for everyone to take away from the clinic.

So, to recap: learn new stuff from awesome people for free!
D men: meet at 9:20.
C women: meet at 9:55.

I'd like to see this implemented at most or all of the races next year; I
think our riders stand to gain plenty from it, as well as our clubs.
Hopefully this will be a nice way for people to get a taste of it so we
have enthusiasm and momentum for the idea going into next year.

Spread the word to your clubs! See you tomorrow at the road race!

-Megan
