Not a huge auction this time. Prices were all over the
place...generally low to average for the vids, but crazy high on a few
of the pins (and not just the Medieval Madness and the Safe Cracker).
The real deals were the big sit down and environmental vids. Things
like a 60" environmental Confidential Mission going for under $500!
Crazy.
Anyway...enjoy.

I haven't even pulled them out of the minivan yet - got home last night
and felt like crap (sick). The two vids just *barely* fit in the
minivan. They are SOOOO snug in there. I'll take pics - kinda funny.
I wonder they need as proof - i have an arcade-related domain name - I
could print up some business cards :)

I think Chad told me he had to bring a resellers license or some such,
which also I think lets him not have to pay the sales tax. And did
they charge 7% sales tax, or 6.75% cause I thought the tax rate was
lowered at the start of the year.
And yes, they are not supposed to charge 3% more for Visa transactions.
If you look at Visa.com and read the "Rules for Visa merchants" on
page 9 it states they may not charge a surcharge for Visa transactions
but they may offer a discount for cash transactions only if its clearly
marked and the discount is from the standard price.
Not sure of MC, but I am pretty sure they have a similar rule.
If they don't charge a commission on items sold to 'in-the-business'
dealers, and they also don't collect tax on those dealings, then
they're only making the $20 listing fee per item?
I don't think so.
When they start auctioning off the big money games on the back wall
for a couple thousand dollars, and the home arcade types and the
amateur hobbyists drop out, then they're only going to collect $20 for
it whether it's a buyback or it's sold to the other 'dealer'?
I don't think so.
oooohhh.. wait- I guess they collect 10% COMMISSION on everything
sold plus the $20 listing FEE. On top of that, they gouge a 10%
PREMIUM from everything bought by someone not 'in-the-business'.
Well that just sucks (for the non-in-the-business buyer). It's like
they're getting a bonus from the little guys. You pay 110% of the
selling price and the seller gets 90% of the selling price (and also
hit for $20).
mmmmm
It's OK getting screwed until you realize it....
I have stocked my arcade with many auction buys and don't feel screwed
one bit. To each his own I guess.
