hmmm after all he has done for newfoundland i don't think that most would

at least he stands up for his province.
a radical idea, but he would make a great leader for the combined atlantic
or maritime provinces with one voice.

He does stan d up for his province..and that admirable...however...NL does
not have any oil...the oil off-shore belongs to the nation, i.e. the
Feds..unlike terrestial oil finds. A deal was made with NL and NS to reap
some of the rewards to get them both off the public tit.....even tho it's
not even legally their oil. I would suggest he goes overboard on issues,
considering his hold on that resource is tenuous at best (as is NS's). If I
was the PM..I'd find a way to bitchslap him..perhaps a reduced rate on the
royalties..with a "dump Danny and we'll restore the full amount concept", an
eye for an eye. You'd hear the howling then...but I guess its ok for him to
interfere with a federal election.

I'm an adopted NL'er. I travel there, both St John's and the West Coast
several times a year..and and friends and family there I talk to have stated
