December 3, 2007 Congressman Joe Sestak hosts 3rd Annual Procurement Summit in Delaware County at the Springfield Country Club.  In attendance were several hundred people and vendors; workshops and networking were the benefit to many seeking to get government contracts and information.

Morning Speaker was Congressman Murtha of Western Pennsylvania who during press conference spoke about the importance of small business to the country's economy.

Read Defense Authorization Bill discussed by Congressman Skelton who praised Congressman Sestak. Cong. Skelton who is also Chairman of the Armed Services Committee with over 30 years of military service, stated in his keynote speech that "I am concerned about the future of American, because of the many uncertainties of the future of the country. We [American] are facing many challenges."

Press conference that followed clearly suggested that Congressman Sestak and Cong. Skelton had much discussion on the state and future of our country.  They both seemed extremely concerned as they presented during the press conference in a guarded, very careful language.  Congressman Sestak is a thirty year Navy officer.

The one question that I had for the Congressmen which was whether they believed that their military experience impacted the tone being set among the other non vets or those in the political community.  Congressman Sestak responded with information on how to further my plans as a minority business woman keeping in theme with the forum.  However, my reasoning had to do with Congressman Brady and Fattah who are not military nor veterans and it is my belief distant from the critical concerns that relate to foreign policy and how the war is impacting our economy and our city.
