1993 Congressional Hearings on Sexual Assault by Philadelphia Women Veterans - "Another Chance" Phila. City Council Hearing on Oct. 30th - Get Details

Some 15 years later the opportunity presents itself to again address the wrongdoings by the professionals at the Philadelphia Veterans Medical Facility.  Since my testimony of 1993, all but death, has ocurred in my life while trying to circumvent some of the illegal and unethical activities; unprofessional and inadequate healthcare at the Phila. VA.  The upcoming hearings, in preparation, opens up old wounds for presenting the realities that I have experienced and the cover-up by the city officials and legislators who would rather believe that I am a "kook" than to deal with the real issues that would prevent the suffering and needless pain and even death in some cases of veterans of Philadelphia.  It is now time to air our all of Philadelphia's dirty laundry so that some help can finally come to the veterans of this city.  Shame on Philadelphia and the elected officials who have dominated the platforms and refused, denied and ignored the cry of the thousands of helpless veterans.  Shame on you....Not much has changed since my 1993 Congressional Testimony - see attached - when I didnt' even understand what was going on - but now after 15 years it is clear that "they" just don't give a darn about the lives and will even participate in the elimination of or whatever it takes to quiet veterans for an election.  What a shame......it is inhumane, and criminal and those responsible needs to be held accountable for their actions.

I would however, like to bring recognition and special thanks to Phila. City Council Marion Tasco and our newly elected Veterans' Advisory Commission Executive Director, Edgar Howard, for their courage and demonstrated sincere compassion for the veterans of the City of Philadelphia.  We believe also, that Mayor Michael A. Nutter, shares in the desire to help the veterans' community and to change the paradigm that has been dominant in keeping things the same where suffering and pain in those who served for the freedoms of our nation has had to endure in our city.

The actual Pentagon Investigation report which states unequivocally
that this case was "FOUNDED" and thatthere was to be NO retaliation or
harassment as a result, will follow. But after 18 years, this is
hardly the case. The chronicle of abuses and acts of retaliation,
threats, intimidation and "terror" which will follow will allow

A note to myself: For the first time in 18 years I have felt the
courage to speak out about this experience. As I was posting this
documentation, I felt some tremendous relief, coupled with some pain,
anger, something greater that I was initially able to control but as I
begin to think about the power that I have to help others, I am

This documentation will begin to unravel what happens to victims of
military sexual assault. These are just a few of the actual documents
which I will be making public following a 15-6 Pentagon Investigation
of sexual assault, as I begin my memoirs from my own personal
experience of military sexual assault and the chronicle of abuse and
