It seems like Narro does not allow empty strings as valid
translations. I faced this problem while translating some strings in
the following form:
&blah.beforeLink; &blah.linkText; &blah.afterLink;
In some languages, for example, blah.beforeLink should be left empty,
but Narro doesn't allow me to submit an empty translation. When I
click Save, nothing happens.

Sure:
<https://l10n.mozilla.org/narro/narro_file_text_list.php?l=fa&p=13&f=6483&tf=2&st=1&s=>
All three strings should have an empty translation, but I couldn't get
Narro to accept this. :-)

Yes, it is weird, but it's something we can't avoid, unfortunately.

I did (bug 466425).

Well, the way I have understood it, Narro treats an empty translation
box as a sign of no change to the text. One easy way to detect if
someone wants an empty translation explicitly is to add a checkbox
titled like "Empty translation" or something to that effect, which we
can use to explicitly tell Narro that we want an empty translation.
Thanks!
