Converting Firefox generator code to Narrative Javscript code

I had a tricky problem I couldn't manage with state machines which
became easy to solve using Firefox's new generator support. Now I want
to convert that code to work on other browsers.

So far I haven't been able to find anything online for converting
between the two. So far I can figure out this much:

Hi Ben, neat visualization! I'm not sure why it's not working in IE,
I'm guessing it's some oddity with XmlHttp. I'll have to take a look
at some point. In the meantime, you might have better luck with
pre-compilation, aka "build time compilation", documented here:

I'm using Narrative JS. This works fine in Firefox but complains in
IE. Not sure why...

JavaScript Strands is a fork of Narrative JavaScript with some changes and

This sounds awesome. I am working on trying to integrate this fix into
Strands (Neil is no longer doing further dev of Narrative, and Strands is
the branch I have created for enhancements). However, I can't seem to get
this to work. In the regex declarations (for opRegExp2) I get an error for
opRegExpSrc.source being undefined. I inserted it right after the old regex

for 150k source text, parse times form 80 minutes to 6~7 seconds.

Four 4s is the correct behavior. You can take the yield operator out and try
it as regular javascript and it will behave the same. This is how closures
work, they maintain a reference to the scope, not copies of variables. The
variable i gets set to 4 before any of the anonymous functions ever get
executed, and they all use the same closure scope, which has i set to 4 when

particularly interested in "with scope enhancement" which I assume
fixes problem shown in the code below:
