I use the preprocess block to create some indices pages for my blog
site, tags pages, archives and the like. Nanoc can take quite some
time to go through all this, leaving me with a compile time of over 2
minutes.

I would like to, optionally, ignore the preprocess block (or parts of
it) when I compile or watch the project. Is there any way to achieve
that, through creating my own command, or any other method?

Hi Aaron,

You shouldn’t skip the preprocess block. Do you have a specific use
case for this? If you really want to skip the preprocess block, you
have to delete the tmp/ dir in order for the compilation to be
correct.
