What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Very often when I am still the moving time will keep ticking over.

What version of MyTracks are you using? On what version of Android? On what
phone?

I am using the latest version on the HTC one s.

We detect whether you are stationary or not based on consecutive GPS
signals. There might be noise in the GPS, you can try adjusting

Settings->Recording->Min distance
Settings->Recording->GPS accuracy
