Please describe what your requested feature would do, how it would work,
etc:

When using MyTracks off-road, it would be very useful to be able to orient
the map, in the event I get "turned around", and need to find my way back
to the trail. The orange triangle could be used for this, by pointing
North, especially since I have no idea what it points to, anyway. But a
simple sliding scale showing the phone's compass heading in degrees at the
top or bottom of the tracking display would be great. Maybe change color
when the phone is pointing North.

Alternatively, rotate the map to orient it with the compass. Probably much
more difficult to implement, but coolness factor goes up.


If you're a developer, are you willing to implement this yourself? (you
probably still want to let us know so we can discuss how it'll work and
whether we believe it's a good feature to be merged into the main mytracks
distribution)

We are now in 2014, 2 years after it has been marked as "fixed" and this
feature is still missing. Is it an hidden feature or something?

I can't find it either, and there have been several releases. Would still
be nice to have it.
