Hi,
I am looking for some one, who can develop video recording software under
linux, (like a small part of MythTV)
This software/App will have only input from a local analog camera and will
show live on screen.
Also there should be a recording option available to user.
recording should be with few details, which user provide.

Need to Hire Someone to Build Custom DVR for a Social Enterprise

I'm working on a startup social enterprise to improve the TV options in
correctional facilities, where TV is a big part of inmates' lives. I'm
looking to hire someone to build a custom DVR system that would work on a
large scale in a correctional facility. It seems that the MythTV platform
would be suitable.

 Hi there,
I understand MythTV is open source. I would like to decouple the HTTP Live
Streaming Recorder from the rest of MythTV and set it up on my computer
(Linux preferably). Can anyone help with this?
I can provide a Linux machine on Amazon EC2 for ease of us.
Do note that I do not require any decryption. I want to enable recording of

 Hello all,
I just heard about Myth TV and googled about a bit learning about it. It
sounds wonderful and I'm curious how much a setup would cost. I currently
watch all of my TV OTA or via my HDMI-connected laptop playing Hulu or
Netflix. I do not have any kind of cable or satellite TV.
I've been thinking for some time that it'd be great to have a dedicated

Looking for someone with the time and knowledge of the MythTV source code
to chase down this LiveTV ringbuffer issue. Since most of the devs do not
use LiveTV, this bug is not high on their priority lists. I am still
renting two cable boxes until this is resolved. The bug involves a
deadlock that occurs when the backend attempts to transition the frontend

I have a question for the users on this group. I'd like to build a
MythTV setup for myself for both fun and practical use, and I wanted
to know what hardware real users would choose for themselves if they
could have whatever they wanted. Like if you were building something
for yourself and price were not a concern, what would you put together?

Its been about six months since I was here. My goal is to promote an
open source PVR for the general public. It is not to make a lot of
money. The idea is to transfer the control of TV and TV advertising
from the broadcast networks and the cable/satellite/telcos to the
viewers, to transform and improve television.
