I'm coming from a few different places but ended up here :). I've been
a keynote user for awhile now and started looking for something else.
This software provides a lot of value to me in a small package with
nice licensing. I do have a few questions or observations:

1) rich text editing - is this in the plans? I'd like to create
bulleted or numbered lists, perhaps have bolds or italics in notes for
a project. This would be very helpful to ordering my data and calling
attention within the task/project notes to areas or requirements that I
wish to highlight.

2) sharing of a single file - are there problems with this? Lets say I
have a copy of the data file stored on a samba server that a laptop and
desktop can reach. is this gonna cause any problems if I share the
data file? Some programs warn of corruption or lack of use. In the
case of Bonsai, sharing a data file between multiple computers drove me
away.

3) export text/notes - it'd be nice if there were a way to import
something with rich text formatting I've created elsewhere.

So far this program looks really good to me to help me with starting a
brand new position where I will be building sets of resources from
scratch. My need is to rapidly record, prioritize, and then be able to
work on the file quickly and hopefully between a desktop and laptop.

Thanks for a very nice program!

1) It is not in plans for nearest future but it will be considered
since many people ask about it.
2) When MLO opens a file it is locked so that other programs could not
access it. To access this file from another computer (or from same
computer by other instance of MLO) you will need to close first
instance. I am not sure about "samba server" but you can test it
yourself since FREE tirial is full functional.
3) It is related to 1) and if we decide to implement it we will
consider importing for sure since standard controls should support it.

Andrey.

BTW on the subject of Rich Text beware the Win32 Rich Text control.
From personal experience I can tell you it has quirks and more than a
few bugs that will never be fixed. You really want to think twice
before using it - since you may waste alot of time getting things to
work. Its so frustrating friend in the .Net world (Craig Andrea) has
written his own RichText (open source, Rich Text2 written in C#/.Net)
rather than do battle with the built-in control.

Good Luck

Thanks to the followup posts! One of the nicest things is the
interaction between MLO and MindJet's MindManager. I discovered how
well this works because I wanted to have a "map" of where things are
and saw the export function. Has anyone used any of the export formats
to support FreeMind?

The combination of controlled project deliverables, seeing linked
todo's against places/contexts, and the export to a MindMapping
solution really makes this a powerful solution.

Thanks again!

Andrey, like others, I love the option to skip a recurring task, bringing it current up to today.

However, when I've done this for tasks that have an assigned time, the time was changed to the present time.

For example, I have a task for 9PM every night.  At 10AM I skipped two days' worth and brought it forward to today, so the assigned time for the task became 10AM.

Yes! I have the same problem and would also love to have the option
skip to the next event, but at the original scheduled time
