Dear Friends
I am Dr.Justice Motilal B Naik, Former Acting Chief Justice of Andhra Pradesh High Court, owner/resident of Block 10 1406.It gives me immense pleasure to interact with all of you though not personally but through this electronic medium.
I hail from a small village in Ananthpur District, AP and had my education till SSLC in Penukonda High School,Ananthpur District.Later in search of job, I shifted to Mumbai in 1963.While serving in Income Tax Department, I persuaded my studies and obtained BA Honours in Economics and LLB degree.
While preparing for BA Final Examination, I noticed these quotes by Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru and Baba Saheb Ambedkar narrated in a constitutional debate in 1949.
Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru said - "Democracy is meaningless as long as we fail to wipe out the tears falling from a hungry person's eye."
Likewise Baba Saheb Ambedkar said - Constitution is the heart of Indian Society and if someone tampers with the heart,it would endanger the body.Similarly,if constitution is tampered with, it will endanger the society.
I was so much inspired and made up my mind to get into legal profession.
I came to Hyderabad in 1977 and settled down in High Court practice in High Court, AP. I was a govt. Advocate initially and later appointed as the Judge of AP High Court in 1992.Thereafter, I was also Acting Chief Justice for sometime and retired in 2004.During my tenure as Hight Court Judge two universities - Kakatiya University, Warangal and Sree Krishna Devs Rays University, Ananthpur conferred honorary doctorate on me in 1998 and 2003 respectively. I was also conferred with Rajiv Gandhi Ekta Award by National Integrity Forum, Delhi.Thereafter I was appointed as a Chairman of Debt Recovery Appellete Tribunal, New Delhi till 2007.
I have 3 children, one daughter and two sons. All are married and settled in their profession. My wife is a housewife.
I have no personal agenda, however I have something to give to the society, I call it - " Repay the debt to the society."
I am Telugu speaking Hyderabadi settled for past 40 years in Hyderabad and am fluent in Hindi and English.I have working knowledge in Marathi and Kannada.
Social work is my passion. I have adopted 10 villages which forms a gram panchayat in Ananthpur District. I look after their needs and try to be a helping hand.
I shifted to My Home Vihaanga in June 2017.My Home Vihaanga is a mix of culture and languages. I believe when we have chosen to stay in a gated community, we should live like a big family.
Developer has promised certain amenities for a comfortable stay and if there is a breach on their part, the team we will elect must get the issues addressed and resolved together.
Our effort shall be to create a conducive environment where everyone stays happily.I will always be on forefront if there are any lapses on the part of the developer and will also ensure to safeguard the interest of the residents.
Friends elections either a big event or small, personal acquaintance and interaction with the voters would always help to understand each other. However I realised that most of the residents are working and leave their homes mostly around 9-9:30 am and return back late in the evening.
I therefore decided not to encroach upon your privacy and choose this medium to appeal you for exercising your franchise in my favour.
Yours Lovingly
Dr.Justice Motilal B Naik
