I am running for the California State Senate to add a voice for reason and restraint to a political body that today seems only interested in growing and maintaining its own power at the expense of all Californians. As a third-party candidate (Libertarian) I am independent of the partisan bickering and self-serving of the Democrats and Republicans and their many special interest groups. I will do everything in my power to reduce the size and influence of State Government and give that power back to the local municipalities and citizens.  My top priorities in office will be to support any legislation that returns individual choice and freedom to Californians.

The Broken State Run Education System

* Return education choice to parents through K-12 Education Tax Credits

* Support local communities freedom to opt out of large unaccountable urban districts

* Encourage competition in higher education by eliminating subsides to state colleges and universities

Economic Competitiveness

* Remove restrictive wage rules that limit workers freedom to negotiate their own employment contracts 

* Promote health care portability through Medical Savings Accounts 

* Eliminate unneeded small business regulation and licensing laws

Civil Liberties

* Support Gender-neutral marriage licensing (AB 849) 

* Drug Decriminalization 

* Push for stronger law enforcement in all neighborhoods to prevent personal and property crimes

The 21st California State Senate District includes the cities of Burbank, Glendale, Pasadena, La Cañada Flintridge, San Gabriel, Temple City, and the Los Angeles
communities of Tarzana, Encino, Reseda, Van Nuys, Sherman Oaks, Studio City, North Hollywood, Silverlake,  Los Feliz, Eagle Rock, Echo Park, Atwater Village, and Chinatown.
