Subject: Quick Eczema Cures to Prevent the Itching
The redness, itching, and swelling caused by eczema can be
overwhelming at times. Finding a way to relieve the discomfort is at
the top of many people's lists. Eczema can lead to embarrassing
rashes, trouble sleeping, and itching that is almost uncontrollable.
Here are some eczema cures that will help provide you with some
relief.
The first step you should take involves a little bit of research. Take
an inventory of the things you come in contact on a daily basis.
Obviously you're not going to be able to write down every single thing
but give it a try. You may be able to match your flare-ups with
certain things you come in contact with. Eczema is believed to be an
allergic reaction. If you can avoid contact with the allergen you will
significantly reduce the chances of an outbreak.
It's important to prevent dry skin. Take a warm shower rather than a
hot shower. Use a mild soap when showering. Dry yourself very
carefully and do not rub the affected area. Use a moisturizer or
lotion that is not irritating. Alcohols and fragrances will only
worsen the condition.
Avoid tight fitting or itchy clothing. Cotton is a great material to
wear for sufferers of eczema.
If you're in the middle of an eczema flare-up is best to avoid
strenuous activity. Excessive sweating will irritate the rash.
If you're unable to identify a specific factor that causes your flare-
ups try treating it. A nonprescription steroid cream, like
hydrocortisone, in addition to an anti-itching lotion, like calamine,
will provide relief. These creams should be applied on regular basis
every day until the rash is gone.
Antihistamines, like Benadryl, can be taken for itching. They come in
pill form and can be taken before bedtime. This will relieve the
itching so you can sleep. They can be taken during the daytime but if
you do be sure that they are a non-drowsy formula.
Eating a healthy diet and taking a multivitamin supplement will help
keep your body healthy. Your skin is the largest organ your body has.
Keeping your body healthy will keep your skin healthy.
Dealing with eczema can be very difficult but if you follow these
simple eczema cures you'll be on your way to recovery. Develop a daily
routine and stick with it. You will see results if you follow this
plan. For more information and remedies take a look at the links
