Re: Maven error in Eclipse when creating a project from SCM

It builds fine in Eclipse - this error is related to the automated maven support in eclipse and it shouldn't cause you a problem. Just select the Pom and then run->maven install 

You can also open the Pom and take the quick fix to ignore this error.
