You don't need to set a dependency here. Actually, it's the wrong
approach.
The date on which you have to return the book doesn't depend on
whether you've done with the book or not, correct? :)
You just have to create 2 independent tasks but you will see "Return
the book" only on it's due date. "Read the book" will always be on the

Say I have two tasks: Read a book, and return the book to the
library. I set return the book as dependent on reading the book so my
to-do list is clean. I also set for the return the library's due date
as the task's due date. Now, I would expect that since the final task
in the dependency would dictate the due date of all the tasks

1) PocketPC does not required desktop in general and can be used as
standalone product.
However due to limitations of the mobile platforms (including the

The formats are different but can be synchronised using MLOsync once an Activesync connection is established. Not ideal but means you can work on the same dataset with both platforms, just syncing them regularly. It work be much better with a common file format though.

This is a Windows PC generated MLO file that will not open on PPC.
Seems like I've seen somewhere here that they are not compatible even
though they are sold together. I wonder why I spent so much time
making the file on windows to find it does not load into PPC. I don't

I have installed the PPC 2002 version [I can't find which version I
have of course as MS don't want you to know] but every time I open the
file I get a blank tree.

I have to assume there is a problem otherwise there is no point in
this application.

Any suggestions please?

Win7 64-bit works well and syncing to a 32-bit XP machine causes via
getdropbox causes no problems either.

It would be a bit kludgy but you could have two tasks, the "Yes" task
and the "No" task (which I believe could be hidden from the Todo
view), and then a different set of children tasks that are dependent
on each of those, so they only show up if Yes or No is completed (checked).

Of course later you would want to delete all of the other branch,

Hello,

I have started using the software only a short time ago. I am using it
to map processes for my job which includes managing the same kind of
projects over and over again and several at the same time. Since most
of the tasks repeat, having templates helps a lot.

I find, however, that I am missing something to make this application

I may have a similar question. I'm just trying out MLO and I seem to
be able to create tasks just fine, but not new folders. I've reviewed
the help and see some discussion of folders, but not how to create
them. Must be missing something basic.
