I wonder if it would be possible to create an area on the MLO website
where people could upload their preferred outline templates, with some
descriptions, for others to have a play with.

There are many great posts that refer to various tips about how to
organise parts of MLO but it would be nice to have a set of
user-generated templates (plus instructions) to look at, in the same
way as the built-in templates are provided.

I don't think this can be done in a thread as you can't post
attachments.

Any thoughts, anyone?

Hi Skittler,

Great idea! For those who want to publish their templates please send
them to my e-mail together with description. Once I have something to
publish I will create new section on MLO site.

That is a great idea. I'm looking forward to it - whatever I have at
this time, relatively "young" in MLO, is not pretty at all; it will be
a little while before I might have some templates of my own that others
would be interested in. So I am looking forward to being able to
download some templates and taking a good look at them to see what I
can use that other users have more or less perfected.

Another thing I keep hoping for is that some of the veteran users will
post bits and pieces of their knowledge in the MLO Wiki. I've read
everything in their a few times now, and it is really good info. But
only Andy (I guess it is Andy's site?) and David are currently posting
anything there. The Wiki could be a great learning and sharing center
for MLO users. Andrey, you say on your site that the MLO Wiki will be
moved to the MLO server at some point. Is that still in the works? I
think more users would frequent the Wiki if it were to become part of
the official MLO website. Is that still the plan?

One last comment - Andrey, you mentioned once that you would think
about converting the MLO Help file into a PDF file, so that users could
study the manual without having to be at their PC. I was going to do it
myself - I decompiled the CHM file, but that breaks it into a lot of
smaller HTML files; putting it back into the proper order will take me
a little time. If the original is in one file - maybe a Word or
OpenOffice Writer file - that would make it much easier. If this is
already in the works by you or someone there, please let me know. If
not, I'll plod ahead and reassemble these HTML files into one PDF file,
hopefully with Bookmarks and live links in it. Better yet, if you have
the original in one file, I would be happy to convert it for you. Then
you could post it on the MLO site for download by registered users.
:-)

Thanks!

Regarding the repository ...

I clicked on the Google Groups Beta link at the bottom of the screen
and see they have added a File section to the new version of Google
Groups. They are giving us 100MB of online file storage.

Andrey,
Maybe you could keep this in mind as a "feature request" even though
it's really for the website not the tool.
