Buffering issues

Hello MX Player team,
I really love MX Player Pro, but I've had some difficulties with buffering.
A lot of the movies and television shows I stream come from sources with
limited bandwidth. Because of this, I often have to pause MX Player Pro for
about 10 minutes before watching a show.
I've found that MX Player Pro will not buffer an entire movie or TV

Hi
We are testing MX player on android STB for streaming TV channels. While
configured as HW decoding, fill screen not working even changed aspect
ratio as 16:9.
Please suggest me to resolve this issue.

Hello, thanks for wonderful player that I've been used for years on many
devices. I tried other programs but none could be compared with MX in
flexibility and features.
I have a suggestion which is not very hard to implement but could greatly
improve usability of MX. Currently there's more and more devices on Android

Problems to play 1080p videos over LAN and a few suggestions.

I got a TV with android 2.2 system, and was trying to play videos from a
windows PC with samba running.
The PC and the TV was both connected to the same LAN with stable 100Mbps
wired connection.
The video is 1080p H264 + ac3 mkv at about 20-30Mbps bitrate, the network
bandwidth should be enough (tested with file copying)

I have about 500 movies loaded on one of those Android Stick mini PCs. And
most of the files show the correct time length on the menu selection
screen, however in one folder the times are REALLY OFF. (IE a file that is
only 3:54, shows as 15:23:54), the same file shows the correct timestamp
length in other programs, but from in MX Player Pro, it does not. How can

Lately I found your - otherwise excellent - product did not start m3u8
streams from network anymore sometimes. It just gives a black screen with
an indeterminate progress.

WMV HD files and HW acceleration on mediatek chips

Hw acceleration is not working on wmv hd files, tried on Micromax canvas hd
a116 , gionee dream d1, gionee elife e3, xolo q800, all of them have the
same specs ------- mediatek mt6589, quad core 1.2 ghz, gpu sgx544mp. It
plays via S/W and the video is slow and choppy, tried both H/W and H/W +

I have an Asus TF300T Tablet (NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor).
I use MX Player to play mkv files.
The tablet is connected via HDMI to a Sintoamplifier
(Onkyo) that supports Dolby Digital and DTS.
Ho Is possible to configure MX Player to enable Audio passthrough? So the
audio stream (Dolby Digital or DTS) will be directly forwarded to the

Hi!
Just noticed that when playing from network DLNA sources MX player unable
to handle big changes in bitrate when playing in H/W+ or S/W modes, whereas
H/W mode works fine. Playing those videos from local storage works fine for
all 3 of the decoders.
Even if average bitrate is low - around 1300 kbps, jump 900 kbps to

Does mx know to play playlists from web server through url?
What is the way to connect the mx with the videos in the server?

subtitle file with language extension support

I am using this player in conjunction with the ES file explorer and one
thing that I have realised is that when playing videos such as X.mp4, it
picks up the subtitle file X.ass, but when playing Y.mp4 with subtitle file
named Y.tc.ass, it will not load the subtitles automatically, is there any
chance that the next update will allow us to pick up the subtitles file

Would be nice to be able to mute audio track and still keep android multimedia volume high. That way you can listen to music while viewing only video. Thanks

Playing Putlocker links

Hi, On my last android I used to paste Putlocker links into Hubi and then
watch video via MX Player. I've just tried to do this on my S4 and every
time MX Player is saying the video cannot be played. What am I missing? Can
anyone help me?
