Subject: FW: 2011 Titus van Rijn One-Hour Distance Classic
Greetings Methow Valley friends and runner-types!
About 10 days ago I received our annual invite to the TVR 1-Hour Distance
Classic. If you didn't get a copy already, then read on for additional info
or check out the blog: http://tvr1hour.wordpress.com/
In a nutshell, sometime in the next 5 weeks I'd love to establish a common
date for us to gather at the LBHS Track to conduct the event. At the
appointed time and place, we will each put fourth our level best for exactly
60 minutes of running, walking, hopping, skipping or crawling around the
track. SO MUCH FUN :) For the uninitiated, a black cherry soda awaits you at
the finish line -- because who doesn't love one of those at approx. 9-9:30AM
on a Saturday morning!
As per usual, you are more than welcome to participate on your own (without
the wonderful company) and those results can be submitted to the race
director anytime between now and midnight, 14 June 2011.
In the past, it seems that Saturday mornings work pretty well. Our best
options are 5/21, 6/4, and 6/11. 5/21 seems like the strongest candidate in
my mind. If you cannot do the 21st -- but REALLY want to do the TITUS,
please let me know in the next day or two. I will tally the results and make
an official proclamation of date by Wednesday.
Scroll down for a photo of last years event. We were one person shy of an a
single location attendance record -- and look at how much fun! A historical
record of event results is attatched for your review.
More soon!
Erik
(your friendly local TVR coordinator)
PS Please spread the word to others that I have missed.
