Our Names are Rick Reyes and Jake Diliberto a former Marine served in
Iraq 2003 and Af-Pak 2001 for both invasions and Co-Founder of the
Think Tank/ PAC "Veterans for Rethinking Afghanistan".

We are reaching out to college vets who served in Afghanistan to
begin a coalition of Vets who are concerned with the escalation of
violence in Afghanistan and those who are seeking a thoughtful prudent
wise decision in the Global War on Terror.

Our Goals 1.) Keep America Safe with the least amount of carnage to
the Afghan's and to the American military
2.) Be wise with the lives of our men and women in
uniform and bring them home as soon as possible
3.) Demand a long term strategy in Afghanistan by our
senior law makers
4.) Keep the criminals of the 9/11 conspiracy from
accomplishing another attack

Clearly the situation is tumultuous- http://rethinkafghanistan.com/blog/?p=702,

However we feel the US is best fit to use small counter terrorism
units to find Al-Queda accompanied by a world wide humanitarian effort
to rebuild Afghanistan.  As Jake said on CNN last week
http://amfix.blogs.cnn.com/2009/11/02/afghan-war-veterans-debate-merits-of-troop-surge/,
"the war in Afghanistan is a war of poverty, and the solutions need a
comprehensive approach. As a combat veteran we do not feel our men in
women in uniform need to be used as state builders for Afghanistan,
the country itself needs empowerment from non-state actors such as
NGO's and NATO.

Our efforts have been very successful just last Thursday we had a
meeting in the West Wing of the White House and the administration was
eager to hear our concerns. We are building a base of membership and
supporters for the movement for the hope of pushing our law makers for
a long term solution so our troops do not have to spend one more
unnecessary day in Afghanistan.

Will you join our cause?
Will your student Veterans Group debate our purposes in Afghanistan?
Will you support the troops and demand a long term strategy so our men
and women do not serve another unnecessary day in Afghanistan?
