July 23, 2009 Through out the year, the Muslim Re-entry Initiative in New York supports Muslims who return from prison with the hope of continuing the positive behavioral changes made in prison that they attribute to Islam. In addition to their efforts to integrate into the larger Muslim community (most) for the very first time, their needs also include housing, employment, clothing and the basic necessities of life.
