Any comments or suggestions? I have a 2005 Cayenne, every couple weeks or months my dash warning light "Low Oil Pressure" comes on while driving for few seconds and disappears. need advice on performance "chip" for 996
Howdy all, I have an 01 996 (3.4L 6-speed) and am curious about increasing performance by replacing the engine chip, which I'm supposing is in the motronics ECU. Is this a safe thing to do? Does this cause excessive wear and tear? Any advice on brands/types etc is appreciated. -Kent

Hi All, Do we have a Facebook page for Musik Stadt PCA? If not, maybe we should? I was a member of the Lone Star PCA, and their members only Facebook page was a great communication tool. Rob Quarles

coolant flush/replacement
Hello all, I have a 2001 911 (6-speed) and want to flush the coolant as part of a project to also replace the water pump and swap in a low-temp thermostat. I have owned this car for a couple of years and the coolant is the greenish variety. My understanding is these cars came with a "lifetime" coolant that... more »

Mouse nest in the engine bay
Greetings. Two nights this week, a critter (mouse? rat?) built a nest of pink Owens-Corning fiberglass insulation material atop the intake plenum of my Panamera. I park inside a semi-heated garage. Last evening I set a dozen glue traps around the car, but the critter must have "smelled a rat" (sorry) as there was no nest in the engine and no... more »

PorscheVW engine stand yoke
Hi, I am Richard Collins up in Bowling Green; I have both a 912 and a 914 engine needing work. I have an engine stand but am chasing a used but good 3 or 4 arm yoke/adapter for mount the Porsche/VW engines to the stand. Ideally someone has a used but good one sitting in their garage gathering dust and wouldn't mind parting with it rather than my having... more »

I'm a Porsche DIY'er and I'm looking for other DIY'ers in the area for mutual assistance in projects, repairs, etc. I'd especially like to meet somebody who has experience with 996's or 986's, as I'm trying to troubleshoot a noise in the rear... more »
