PhD Scholarship at Monash University for work in an aspect of the music-culture of Aceh
A research project headed by Professor Margaret Kartomi, which has been funded by the Australian Research Council, is offering a PhD scholarship.
The stipend scholarship is worth approximately A$26,000 p.a. for three years and will include some money for relocation or for fieldwork in Aceh.
To be eligible for this scholarship candidates must have a Masters or equivalent in either ethnomusicology, anthropology or sociology with an interest or experience in music.
Candidates should apply using the standard PhD application form and indicate in their application that they wish to be considered for this scholarship. Please notify Prof Kartomi directly of your intention to be considered for the cholarship.
