I'm a music theory novice or I at least have an undergrad understanding.  I want to learn more and the matter of music notation has been a monkey on my back for some time.  I studied experimental composition in regards to computers and synthesis and it shed a stark light on the limitations of traditional notation.  I want to understand more of what is being discussed in this group.  However it feels like I've entered mid-conversation.

Is there any plan to write a document  that covers the points of The Music Notation Project?  Something like a primer that can ease a greenhorn like myself into the subject matter?  Like an overview or quarterly synopsis?

Thanks and cheers.

Hi Estevan, Welcome to our discussion group. We don't have such a
document, but our website, and particularly the tutorials, are the
closest thing to it:
http://musicnotation.org/tutorials/index.html

So check them out if you haven't yet, and feel free to ask any questions
about anything here on this forum (Google group) and we can answer them
for you.

Cheers,
-Paul M
