The note individuals of the chord ontology can be a bit inaccurate and
they overlap with a note definition in the symbolic ontology. Notes
are defined as a "pitch event" so any note is characterized by a pitch
and a duration (which is clearly seen in a score).

The definition of chords through notes is somehow imprecise then. I
would consider to change the note individuals (which should be part of
the symbolic ontology) by pitch class individuals (a proposed
definition of this concept is http://purl.org/ontology/tonality/PitchClass).

ChordEvent instances have an associated duration and they could be
defined through notes though. Notes in this case can be inferred by
extracting the pitch classes of the Chord and the duration of the
event.
