Hey!

I'm new to Mupen, maybe I do smth wrong here: I just bought myself a
Saitek P580 Controller (Jess Technology Co., Ltd Colour Rumble Pad)
which is not recognized by Mupen.
When it's plugged in, the Gamepad is correctly recognized and addes as
"js0" under /dev/input/. It works fine on other games, such as
Tuxracer. Mupen's input log DOES NOT say anything about any controller
found except for the keyboard (so it's not only about setting the
controller config right).
So what needs to be done? Symlink js0 to anywhere else? I didn't find
out, where Mupen searches for the available game controllers.

Mupen: v1.99.4
Sys: Arch Linux

Thanks,
o.

Please create an entry in InputAutoCfg.ini [1] and send this information to
this mailing list [2].

Kind regards,
Sven

Thanks for your reply, Sven.

Though I have to state again, that the controller is not recognized at
all by mupen64. It just directly heads for keyboard input. So again:
it's not about setting the config straight. The weird thing is that
SDL (which is used by mupen64 to handle all that stuff AFAIK)
perfectly recognizes it. So I don't know where to start looking for
the issue.

Thanks,
Otto

I have manually built the lastest version and now all is fine. Thanks.
