Just recently i have noticed that google home page goes directly to
google india.. instead of google australia .. any sugesstion on
correcting this silly problem???

I'm developing multilingual site, where one can post articles (on any
language) and can translate articles. The authors can put its
advertising scripts or html and be rewarded by advertisers. It has
extensible HMI, which easily can be extended to new languages.

Hi everyone,
just came across this group, and there seems to be limited activity.
I've been working on multilingual wbe sites in one form or another
since 1996.
Our current project involves a website that is being designed to
accomodate any possible language. Currently accomodates 70 languages
covering appropximately 17 writing scripts.

My approach is, first of all, to separate the HTML structure from the
text content, so I can fill an empty HTML template with variable text
according to the user's language choice.
I keep all the text in a MySQL table with one of two record structures:
1)
`EN` = text in English
`DE` = text in German

I need to make it in german and english. English i have no problem but
how can i make the pages in german. I have all the content translated
in german but what change in the php and html code do i have to do to
make the content display in german.

I have two questions:
(1) When designing applications for the Web, could you please point out
how does one take into account screen resolutions? What should be the
base that I must take for a start when I build the website?
One thing that comes to mind is to design on the lowest resolution that
the target users will have and then provide percentages for every CSS
