Going Solo conference (Leeds, Sept 12th) for freelancers in the internet industry

Hello everyone,

I chatted with Stuart/stuup who recommended I post this info about my
event to your Google Group. Though it's not taking place in the
Midlands, it's pretty relevant for those of you who are freelancers (I
guess there is a bunch of you).

The conference is called Going Solo and it has already taken place

Any Flashers around?

I've got a quick bit of work that needs to be done in Flash, basically
slicing up an image and creating a few hotspots.

Anyone got the time/inclination to do it from MP before I cast the net
further afield?

It was discussed briefly before I left, about holding the next meeting
away from Birmingham. The new focus of the group was one place, one
date, so everyone knew the score, but I thought that also involved
changing venue at least twice a year - just for a change.

It seemed like there was a lot of "generate this, then copy it, then
tweak it, then alter this config...", but I think mentioning that
config-itis is a common complaint upfront gets people watching for it
while you demo.

It's tricky to remember all the key points that the "unwashed masses"
don't know! You should certainly strengthen the emphasis on how much
the CLI tool does for you in Symfony as it is one of the key
differentiators.
Good presentation though - it built nicely on the intro to Symfony at
PHPLondon.

To echo my comments on the PHPWM list thanks to Reuben and James at
PSL for the use of their facilities and the free pizza last night, it
was much appreciated.
Matt: during our chat afterwards you made me realise that I'd not done
the best job of explaining the Symfony directory structure, doh. My
first comment should've been that it is all auto generated by the CLI
